About OUTKAST:

“It’s hard to believe that one man survived all of this.”

“…an inward and outward journey.”

“Now, this is a story worth telling and repeating.”

“This novel is part intimate journal, part travelogue, with a good

part of the inner workings of a mind at the end of its tether.”

The title of this sheaf is multidimensional.  These pages represent an emotional confession, a psychologic memoir, a collection of journal entries and letters revealing deep inside a mind at the end of its tether, a travelogue and meditation on Self, as well as, a period of self-imposed exile on the isle of Little Skellig.  The two journal fragments that comprise many of these pages seem to parallel each other.  As with life, it is hard, if not impossible, to crowd all into one shell.  Of course, through this all, one must adapt to or be crushed by the terrible loneliness of existence.  Life, if lived correctly, must overflow your bounds.  You may wind up after a filling meal grieving over the inaccessible dessert cart or you may simply swipe your finger through the chocolate frosting, placing it in your mouth with one continuous easy movement to enjoy the flavor you won’t have time or capacity to ingest.
